Fear during television viewing (2008)

When does emotional overload arise during television viewing with the whole family, and to what extent does the presence of parents protect children from frightening television experiences? 63 children between the ages of 5 and 11 drew pictures of a frightening television experience within the family circle and were questioned in individual interviews. In order to obtain a retrospective view of television experiences in earlier life, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 135 students.
